Almost Spring

Hallelujah! This morning Punxsutawney Phil did not see his shadow! πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ I’ve told y’all before and I’ll tell y’all again…Β  Winter is a tough one for me. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me but…I can still end up on the struggle bus ever so often. (If you struggle like me, here’s a post from a few weeks back with tips to help beat the winter blues, but for real, sometimes it is still hard, and this post is for you.)

Sometimes, life is just downright hard. The kids will be sick. You will be sick. The house will be a mess. The dogs will destroy everything under the sun and rest seems impossible to come by… But then… But then you see a glimmer of hope and you all of a sudden see that sunshine on your skin again.

That’s all it takes. That glimmer. A tiny glimmer of hope is all that we need sometimes. When we see that glimmer that’s our chance to run. That’s the chance we have been looking for to start over and start again. With new mercies every morning there’s no reason you can’t run forward. Take that chance and go forward. It doesn’t matter what yesterday looker like, today is brand new. Live like it. That thing you have been putting off? Do it. Set a timer for 5 minutes and see how much you can accomplish. Set one goal for youself. I don’t care if it is to step outside on your front porch for 30 seconds. Do it! Obedience is hard, but so is constantly struggling. When God gives you a leg up, take it! See the glimmer in the dust and make it sparkle. You’ve got this and I am here cheering you on every step of the way.

Happy Almost Spring, everybody! πŸ₯³
